IDT is a band that performs at quite a few weddings, but it would feel strange to call them a wedding band. What comes to mind when you hear the term “wedding band”? For them, it’s corny matching outfits, groan-inducing jokes, and unholy “traditions” with cute little names like “The Chicken Dance” and “Macarena”.
If we’re going by stereotypes, IDT would fail conclusively as a wedding band. So why have they become one of the most in-demand entertainment acts in North Texas over the past four years? Because IDT knows the difference between cool and lame. Comprised of five “kids” (all of average marrying age), they have a good idea of what appeals to their generation, and they have perfected a show that makes the guests WANT to stay, and unable to stop dancing. Every couple wants the same thing for their wedding reception, and it’s never for it be a litany of traditional events while guests stand around and clap politely. What they want is a party that they and everyone in attendance will remember as one of the greatest nights of their lives. Join IDT in the quest to make weddings cool again.
